In a unexpected crossover event that breaks traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the official statement, "An unusual confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of forbidden practices and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret sect.
The mission centers on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Bonus Material
Players who finish the mission will acquire an unique katana alongside numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
